Areas of Specialty

  • Woman showing sadness and overwhelm to represent highly sensitive person struggling with anxiety and self-doubt.

    Anxiety

Anxiety often arises from heightened sensitivity to both internal and external stimuli, along with a struggle to tolerate uncertainty. You might find yourself overwhelmed by emotions, feeling “stuck,” or constantly on edge. Anxiety can also be rooted in unresolved grief, insecurity, or a fear of not being enough. In our work together, I will help you explore the underlying sources and meaning of your anxiety, while providing practical tools to manage stress and regain a sense of calm and control.

  • Candlelight representing struggles with grief, parental loss, and heartbreak

    Grief

Grief is a transformative experience that can deeply alter who we are. Many people ask if they are grieving “correctly,” but the truth is, there is no one “right” way to grieve. While we often associate grief with bereavement, it can arise from any loss, trauma, or major life transition that shakes our sense of self. Even positive changes, like starting college, getting married, becoming a parent, or relocating, can bring grief as we face the reality that we are no longer the person we once were. Whatever you are grieving, you deserve compassionate support as you navigate the range of emotions and experiences that may arise during this time.

  • Nature scene representing how to overcome low self-esteem

    Self-Esteem

Self-esteem issues often stem from a deep fear of being unworthy, leading to a reliance on external validation for a sense of security. This can create patterns of self-criticism and a harsh inner voice, often rooted in past experiences like loss, trauma, or relationship struggles. Over time, these patterns can erode your sense of self and make it difficult to feel truly at peace with who you are.

In our work together, we will explore and untangle these emotional patterns, focusing on building self-compassion and strengthening your ability to trust and value yourself. I will support you in recognizing your inherent worth and developing healthier ways to respond to your inner critic, so that you can cultivate a more authentic and positive relationship with yourself.

    Highly Sensitive People (HSPs)

If you experience the world with profound intensity—where every emotion and sensory detail leaves a lasting impression—you may be a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP). Coined by psychologist Dr. Elaine Aron, Sensory Processing Sensitivity is a trait found in approximately 15-20% of the population. This trait means that you process life's richness on a deeper level, noticing subtle details that many others might miss. While this heightened awareness allows you to experience both joy and pain more vividly, it can also make your emotional journey feel uniquely overwhelming at times.

It is my mission to support HSPs in understanding and embracing their sensitivity, helping them build confidence in who they are and in the unique gifts they bring to the world. Together, we can explore how to honor your sensitivity, manage emotional overload, and cultivate resilience, so you can thrive and live more authentically.
